PPP election center targeted in Quetta.

QUETTA: A PPP election center on Sariab Road witnessed an attack by a crowd on Thursday.

The incident unfolded when a group of unidentified individuals gathered near the office to welcome the participants of the Turbat long march and subsequently attacked the closed office.

Wearing scarves to cover their faces, the individuals set fire to the party’s flags, posters, and office furniture.

They also ripped apart the posters and flags of Balochistan National Party-Mengal that were displayed along the roadside for election campaigning. Following the attack, they fled from the scene.

Two injured in Dera Bugti

In a separate incident, two brothers sustained injuries in an explosion in the Lando-Nallah area of Sui tehsil, Dera Bugti district, on Thursday.

Levies officials reported that the victims, tribal elders associated with former interior minister and provincial assembly candidate Mir Sarfraz Bugti, were hurt in a roadside explosive attack while traveling.

Identified as Ahmed Bugti and Yasin Bugti, they belonged to the Kalpar tribe, a clan of the Bugti tribe.
