Fair Elections, Open Parliament and Good Governance

The PUBLICVOICEPOLL Secretariat serves as a vital center, offering technical and programmatic assistance to the network of networks spread across Pakistan. Its extensive involvement spans all of PUBLICVOICEPOLL fundamental programmatic areas, encompassing elections, parliamentary observation, local governance, and initiatives aimed at the political inclusion of women and other marginalized groups. The Secretariat plays a crucial role in providing day-to-day support, consolidating information, conducting analyses, packaging and developing technical reports and products, and formulating collective advocacy actions.

At the forefront of the PUBLICVOICEPOLL Secretariat is a National Coordinator who leads a team of professionals with diverse experiences gained from their work in various international and domestic organizations. The Secretariat is equipped with robust performance management systems that have effectively implemented real-time program monitoring. This capability enhances institutional responsiveness to emerging needs and ensures a transparent and accountable management of programs.

Housed within the Trust for Democratic Education and Accountability (TDEA), a non-profit organization registered under the Trust Act, the PUBLICVOICEPOLL Secretariat benefits from TDEA’s technical and capacity-building support. With this support, PUBLICVOICEPOLL has earned both national and international recognition as a distinctly positive civil society contributor in Pakistan’s electoral reform process. PUBLICVOICEPOLL’s initiatives have played a significant role in fostering greater transparency and accountability in election administration, as well as in the proceedings of the parliament and provincial assemblies.
