Former PM vows to provide employment opportunities to people
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Yousaf Raza Gilani stated on Tuesday that if his party secures victory, they will enact their manifesto promises.
Speaking at a workers’ convention in Multan, the former prime minister affirmed, “We are committed to generating employment opportunities for citizens, as evidenced by our past sacrifices, including imprisonment for this cause.”
Taking a dig at opponents, Gilani remarked, “Some individuals had their ‘software updated’ after just one day behind bars.”

Identifying soaring inflation as a major concern for the public, Gilani mentioned that the PPP is formulating a strategy to control inflation.
Referring to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Gilani quipped, “Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who is not participating in the elections, will feel my absence.”
He asserted, “The PPP’s manifesto is a reflection of the masses’ priorities.”
