Parliament Observation

Fair Elections, Open Parliament and Good Governance

PUBLIC VOICE POLL, in collaboration with TDEA, initiated the observation of the National Assembly in 2008. Subsequently, in 2011, it broadened its scope by extending observation to the proceedings of the Senate and all four Provincial Assemblies. PUBLIC VOICE POLL has been a trailblazer in developing a distinctive methodology to assess the performance of legislatures and elected representatives. It regularly releases daily and session reports highlighting the processes and effectiveness of these legislatures. These reports are disseminated to constituents and various stakeholders, including legislators, political parties, legislative secretariats, and the media, fostering increased public scrutiny of elected representatives and their parliamentary activities. Throughout its journey, PUBLIC VOICE POLL has:

Maintained an extensive reservoir of parliamentary data (openparliament.pk)

Developed e-paper Parliament Files (parliamentfiles.com)

Release daily factsheets, session-wise reports, and annual appraisals.

Disseminated thematic reports on the performance of women and minority legislators.
