The ex-Pakistan pace bowling maestro Wasim Akram encouraged the public to actively participate in the democratic process on February 8.
Using X (previously known as Twitter), Akram underscored the significance of Election Day. “February 8 holds immense importance for the citizens of Pakistan.”
“Somewhere inside us, we all want to change our fate, our system, and our way of life, and when we vote, we use that power to choose the best,” he said.

Separately, former Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez urged the people to use the power of the vote wisely.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Hafeez said: “Election 2024 should not be a selection. Make sure all vote for a better Pakistan”.
He urged the citizens to vote for “better” Pakistan.
“My request to all passionate Pakistanis is that voting is your power; use it wisely.
